“No Salt on Her Tail” written by John Phillips is from The Mamas & the Papas, the group’s second album, released in 1966 on the Dunhill label. The song grew out of the instrumental track to the groups’s unissued recording of Rogers and Hart’s “Here in My Arms” which has been previously uploaded on You Tube. “No Salt on Her Tail” can also be found on All the Leaves are Brown: The Golden Era Collection a 2001 CD set on MCA and the Complete Anthology box set on the MCA/Universal UK label.
